Meet our hard-working executive board of scholars and leaders
Abi is from Novi, Michigan, and is currently a junior studying aerospace engineering with a minor in computer science. Her favorite part of Sigma Gamma Tau is the opportunity it provides to bring people within the aerospace department together. This semester, she is excited to continue strengthening that community and build stronger connections with faculty. Outside of SGT, Abi serves as the aerodynamics lead for M-Fly’s advanced class aircraft, is the Chief of Operations for the Michigan–Blue Origin Payload x88 project team, and is also involved with Women in Aeronautics and Astronautics (WAA). In her free time, she enjoys journaling, baking, and exploring new spots around campus!
Matthew is a junior in aerospace engineering with a minor degree in meteorology under the Climate and Space Engineering department. He's originally from London and has a passion in commercial aviation. His favorite part about being in SGT is the sense of community within the aerospace department, and he is looking forward to building more connections between students, faculties, and the wider engineering community. Matthew is also the propulsion lead of M-Fly, and is part of the Engineering Honors Program. In his free time he enjoys flying planes, and is currently working towards becoming an airline pilot.
Kaushal is a junior in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Business Administration through the Ross School of Business. Originally from Chennai, India, he is passionate about configuration synthesis using high-fidelity simulation. What he values most about SGT is the strong student community, close connections with professors, and the professional development opportunities it provides. Kaushal researches Finite Element Model Updating of very flexible wings (EASE) and is excited to serve as the Secretary for SGT this year. He is also involved in student leadership as the Strategic Planning Chair for CLAWS and the Professional Development Officer for Tau Beta Pi. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer, as well as lifting.
Joey is a junior in Aerospace engineering. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, he has a passion for aircraft structures and GNC.
